The best time for cozing up with a glass of wine/hot chocolate/tea/coffee and a great book is here. Regardless if it is in front of the fireplace, or the Netflix version of such:), or while waiting to board the plane or train home, Christmas books are such an irresistible treat. Every year, I try to discover new, magical reads, which amongst the festive celebrations, are a wonderful way to have a ‘me time’ and fully recharge.
These are my top favorite books for Christmas-cozy winter nights, and I hope you enjoy them as much as I have.
“The glamorous capital city of Italy is brought to startling life in The Rome Affair, a compelling summer novel by Karen Swan.
1974 and Elena Damiani lives a gilded life. Born to wealth and a noted beauty, no door is closed to her, no man can resist her. At twenty-six, she is already onto her third husband when she meets her love match. But he is the one man she can never have, and all the beauty and money in the world can’t change it.
I am very much aware that whatever I write about the book, will not give it justice, but it is worth the try!
Women who Run with the Wolves took me by surprise. I received the book as a present by a dear friend of mine, a book lover like me. At first, I was rather skeptical, because the genre is very different from everything else I love reading, and it sounded a bit too academic. However, the book grabbed me already at the prologue.
The Paris Secret is one of my most favourite books by Karen Swan (only second to her ”Christmas Under the Stars”).
Keywords: Mystery, past, secrets, art, love, dreams…in the heart of gorgeous Paris.
As in all of Karen Swan novels, the story makes you long for traveling, for experiencing a new place, and going beyond your zone of comfort. The main message shines-through: in life and love, always keep an open mind! The lesson the author teaches us is that things are often not as they seem, and we should not jump to conclusions too fast, nor allow ourselves to take decisions based on our prejudices.
The book made me miss Paris even more, and ignited my passion for art.
Grab a hot cup of coffee and deep-dive into this enchanting story.
Amazon provides beautiful glossy cover and white paperback pages, while the SAXO version provides a fabulous matte finish cover and crème paper. Both versions look gorgeous, and the content is the same.
